Top of the morning to you. I guess I’m not quite done with St. Patrick’s Day. You see, it’s one of my favorite holidays. I’ve always had a fondness for “all things” Irish and those parades help with my Mardi Gras withdrawals – catching cabbage, carrots, & potatoes. You know I can make a mean cabbage stew. Now, Easter, French Quarter Fest, and Jazz Fest are upon us. I don’t get out to the festivals like I used to, but I do feel like I’m there thanks to all my lovely diners that come in afterwards with their stories (and sunburns).
Did you hear who stopped by the other day? If you Like Dots Diner on Facebook or Follow @dotsdinernola on Twitter, you saw this already. The New Orleans Hornets (almost Pelicans) shooting guard Eric Gordon stopped by our Kenner store. He was so nice to our staff, and a bit taller than the rest of us. As you may recall, we have numerous local celebs coming into Dots Diner, especially our beloved Saints players.
You never know who might be dining with you next time you come in. Mr. Drew Brees, if you’re reading this, you and your beautiful family are always welcome at Dots – hint, hint. Hey Drew, I eat at Jimmy John’s…it’s your turn.
Love ya
– Dot
PS – I wish this weather would make up its mind. I’m not sure whether to wear a tank top or a parka.
