Well, I planned on writing about how great Spring is, but I threw that letter away. Why? Because it’s just too dang hot to still be April. I know it’s New Orleans, but I already miss 70º weather. The good news is that regardless of the temperature outside, hot or freezing, it is always nice and comfy inside my diners.I was talking to a customer just yesterday about something that floored me. She said that she didn’t know that we served breakfast all day long. I politely said something along the lines of, “Come on, Sugar. You must be messing with your ol’ Dot.” I couldn’t believe it. I told her that we serve breakfast 24 hours a day, seven days a week (24/7 as the kids say).

Now, you know why? Well, I just like eating breakfast for dinner, and sometimes a waffle at 2 AM hits the spot. (My mouth is starting to water just thinking about my banana nut waffles and seafood omelet. I know what I’m having for dinner tonight.)
