Wow, Mardi Gras has come and gone and we got some crazy weather this year. I’m glad most of the krewes made it through without getting drenched. It’s so hard when you look forward to that parade all year long and then Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate. At least we didn’t have a blizzard like up North.

Now it’s time for Lent, which for many of you means seafood on Friday. It’s not really that hard to give up meat on Fridays when you have so much great seafood here in New Orleans. Let’s see, I’ll have the seafood omelet for breakfast, shrimp creole for lunch, and catfish for dinner. I can’t wait for Friday. Good thing we cook our seafood dishes all week, just like we cook breakfast all day. Well, back to business. I’ve been running a little contest between each of the Dots Diner locations to see which one is everyone’s favorite. Every store did very well and I really do not know how you chose just one. The store with the most votes for favorite location is (drum rolllllll) – Kenner followed closely by River Ridge. As a thank you, all of my dear customers that updated their profile and voted for the winning two locations received Dot Dollars from me this past week. They’re just like money, but with my pretty face on them.
